Reporting to the Senior Vice President Administration, the Director of Labour and Employee Relations directs and oversees all labour and employee relations initiatives, development of effective HR-related policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement written policies and procedures in the human resources area that represent industry-best practices, supports company growth and efficiency, and are aligned with the Company’s business plans.
- Provide guidance to regional Human Resources teams on employee and labour matters
- Provide overview of LR/ER legislative changes for communication to management and Human Resources teams.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with organized labour leaders representing Bee-Clean employees.
- Act as Spokesperson or oversee all negotiations for effective collective agreements.
- Represent company at hearings, tribunals, meetings, etc. regarding Union Certifications, Arbitrations, Human Rights, Pay Equity and Employment Standards matters.
- Oversee and provide guidance on disciplinary matters, grievance proceedings and plans for labour arbitrations.
About You
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Labour Relations
- Acts as Spokesperson or oversee all negotiations
- Thorough and complete knowledge of all applicable legislation and statutory requirements;
- Superior communication skills at all levels from the shop floor to the Boardroom.
- Knowledge of all regulatory/legislation compliance requirements.
